Lumbi Auto Repair Rebrand

You’ve probably noticed that this project has my last name. That’s because Lumbi Auto Repair is an auto shop owned by my father in Miami, FL! He’s had this shop since 2002 - long before I ever knew I would have an actual career in design. Many, many years later, I decided his shop was due for a little rebrand.

The branding for Lumbi Auto Repair is timeless, classic, with a touch of grit. I wanted to provide an obvious redesign but at the same time, wanted it to look and feel like it had always been this way.

The business is run in a very old-school manner. It wasn’t till a few years ago that he allowed payment by card. As a pillar of the community, Lumbi also has strong personal relationships with many of his clients. With that in mind, I didn’t want to go extremely modern but I did want to provide a refresh that would only further establish Lumbi Auto Repair as a long-term business in the community. Lumbi Auto Repair’s brand kit is familiar and trustworthy but a welcoming refresh.
